Job Description
|
We are looking for a self starting, energetic engineer lead to head a software team developing exciting new features specific for the European markets. Join the team that has been leading the online music industry by constantly developing innovative features since its launch in April 2003.
You will lead a team of engineers as well as drive a group of contractors. You will be the technical point of contact for third parties integrations and coordinate with the rest of the iTunes Store team in California.
You will work closely with many different groups including Marketing, Design, UI Engineering and Legal.
This position will require some international travel (up to 20%).
Requirements:
- BSME required, MS Preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience leading a development team.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in a software development position.
- 4+ years of application server development experience.
- In-depth experience with Java programming and relational database systems, SQL.
- Practical experience integrating with Web Services, SOAP.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with WebObjects.
- Experience integrating with web services.
- Understanding of XML concepts, XSD.
- Experience managing contractors.
- Familiarity with version control systems like CVS or Subversion.
Education:
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or EE, or relevant industry experience is required.
MS in Computer Science or related technical field is desired.
